heirlooms in my stomach


This is my favorite snack these days, well partially a meal or side dish. These are my Tomato Stackers and I could seriously eat them everyday but I don't. Just get a few different colors of Heirloom Tomatoes, some Fresh Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), Balsamic Vinegar, Salt and Pepper.

Slice your tomatoes and your mozz and start stacking. I put a tomato, S&P the tomato, add a cheese slice, then a basil leaf, drizzle some EVOO and a little vinegar, then repeat two more times.

Doesn't this look like the most delicious and beautiful treat? Well...it is.

That looks sooo good right now. I just want to take that bite right now. But...what the heck is EVOO? Do you have to get it in the specialty section? Seriously......

EVOO - short for extra virgin Olive Oil.

You should be a cook half of the things you do I do not even know what it is ....I am so glad someone else is brave enough to ask what things are because I always feel stupid. But everything always looks yummy!

Your food looks so yummy and professional!!! Mine would have fallen over and the flash would have reflected off the EVOO!!! I need to fly out to see you just so you can feed me!
