rainbow, heat, hole

Day two we headed up to Rainbow Bridge, a classic, because Paige (our first timer) hadn't seen it yet, which is always the rule. This was Adam and Steve the whole ride.
At the docks ready to hike. (love my moms face)
There it is, the wonder that is Rainbow Bridge.
Love Kate's hair in this pic
the Clark familia
Everyone loves it, well almost.
Steve pondering the beauty, or something.
Me and my 31 week self.
The Olson Family photo opt. (one of many)
Kate is really having a good time. Can I get a ride too dad?
Walking back to the boat - this cute man.
SMILE!!!!
The other stop, Hole in the Rock, a hike up the crevice where the pioneers brought wagons down. Can you imagine?
So it was these 5 and my dad that took the hike this year. I sat out being pregnant, bummer, and Kandis and Mom swam with the kids.
They made it to the top in all their glory! I think Steve is starting to like this hike too.
The hike registrar. Steve was here.
Back at the bottom of the canyon for a cool swim. Day 2, you were great.

mountain, window, antelope

We made it to Powell and the first day was a bit overcast which made it perfect to hike Sand Mountain. The best thing about this Sand Mountain is that it's white sand, not orange.

Our crew, much smaller this year without our cousins...tear.
The girls on top!
Running back down the mountain.
Next activity, hiking to Wahweap Window.
All made from sand, water, and wind - amazing.
This window is famous for it's name carvings and we added our names years ago back in '89. I can't believe that was already 20 years ago. We visited in 89, 98, 99, 00, and now 09.
The family and view back to Wahweap Bay.
Exploring around.
That afternoon brought us to Antelope Canyon and a bunch of muck. We run into this wood debris at the end of canyons every so often and that doesn't stop us from heading up. (Notice Steve was the only one who opted out of this hike)
And if we would have hiked for a bunch of miles we would have seen these famous slots. But we didn't have time for that.
Back in the boat was this little lady chillin out.
The return of the hikers, man this stuff was sick!!!
Relaxing ride back to the marina. What's next for tomorrow?

is 30 old?

Steve turned 30 on July 2nd and had an ongoing celebration of a birthday week. We went to his favorite place Outback on Tuesday for his birthday dinner. He had to work on his actual birthday so I did up decorations and we went to breakfast to have a fun birthday morning. Then Sunday we had a family party at his mom's where he was able to make his wishes all come true.

I am not too far behind him turning 30 in three months too.
Part of the decor, Lincoln gave the best birthday message, lol.
And to celebrate the milestone I wanted to get my man something he'd love to mark the occasion, tickets to the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake (here in Atlanta) the end of September. Only problem is the event is the same week the baby is due. I am crossing my fingers it all works out so he can enjoy seeing his Golf Idol Tiger Woods and meet his new baby boy, both separate of course.

fourth of july in the south

We haven't been in Georgia for the fourth for the past few years but this year we made the most of it. We kept it local and went to Marietta Square for the community festivities of games, art vendors, and live music.
Kenedee loved the shark slide, scary the first time, fun the second.
We hit up the pool late afternoon and then had a bbq for dinner in the Barlows backyard.
Adam picked up some awesome 'fountain fireworks' and we all had fun lighting them off in the backyard.

We drove up later to the roof parking deck at Steve's hospital to watch the fireworks. All the other employees had the same idea too.
this girl...

The view of our show, not as cool as IF but still cool. GO AMERICA!

le bebe showa

My good sister Kandis couldn't help but throw me a baby shower before their move to AZ and as usual, she did a fab job with the party all themed out as "TIME OF DAY". I had over family and some good friends and it made for a great evening. The party started off with an easy game of "giving birth". Everyone was given a glass of water with a baby frozen in an ice cube and we were to guess what time we were going to give birth - what time our baby was going to melt out of the ice cube. Kasey won with the fastest birth at 7:25 pm.
We also enjoyed some great food - Beef lettuce wraps, spinach dip, fruit salsa with cinnamon chips, and bruschetta. mmm.

We played another game called "How Boy are You" answering a series of questions about our daily routine. For example are you wearing heels, flats, flip flops, tennis shoes - each w/a different point amount. I came in as the most girly with a score of -14 losing the game and my friend Michelle won with a +27 - You would never think she was so boyish from her gorgeous looks but she is a sporty girl. Go Michelle!
Some of the decor to go with the theme, opening presents - everyone was given a 'time of day' for their gift idea such as bath time, diaper time, sick time, etc., the "clock" pie for dessert, and me with Miss Kenedee. Thanks for coming everyone!
